We spoke to Mercedes design boss Peter Pfeiffer at the recent Detroit Motor Show – and asked him about the future strategy at the Stuttgart company. We had a discussion last year about the current Mercedes-Benz line-up. Mercedes has a very strict design and the idea came up to do a forward-looking car.

The enormous Nardo Test Track near Lecce, Italy, has been acquired by Porsche as a new testing ground. Top Gear viewers will probably remember the opening episode if the last series of Top Gear (series 18) with the Lamborghini, McLaren and Noble in Italy or, more specifically, in the Lecce region of Italy which nestles in the warmth of Italy’s heel. The Lecce region also houses the Nardo Test Track which is where the boys took their supercars to hammer round the slightly bumpy outer oval seeking top speed.
The new for 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish has proved an Internet hit for Aston Martin, breaking all website records. We all love a new supercar, and a supercar that has looks to die for is bound to be a hit. But the new Aston Martin Vanquish looks like it’s really piqued the interest of petrolheads around the world, with Aston Martin reporting record-breaking days on its website.
